water vapor due to sub grid scale change in convection?

Postby cparker » Tue Jun 11, 2019 11:31 am

I am running simulations of polar lows in WRF polar stereographic 2-domain set up

I am using WRF V.3.9.1
PBL: MYJ
CU: Kain Fritsch
MP: WSM 5
SW/LW: RRTMG
Noah LSM

Ideally for our analysis calculations of storm intensity, we need information on the water vapor due to sub grid change in convection from the simulation output.

I am an experienced WRF user, however I cannot find this as a variable in the WRF out files or information on how to approximate or calculate this sub grid scale convection change in water vapor.

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your time
