real.exe error with ERA-5 reanalysis

Any issues with the actual running of the WRF.

real.exe error with ERA-5 reanalysis

Postby mseymour97 » Fri Feb 05, 2021 2:34 pm

Hello,

I'm running real.exe and encounter this error:

-------------- FATAL CALLED ---------------
FATAL CALLED FROM FILE: <stdin> LINE: 2977
grid%tsk unreasonable
-------------------------------------------

I am using ERA-5 reanalysis data as input, and I'm using WRF/WPS v4.1.3. I've looked into the SKINTEMP variable and did not find any unreasonable values associated with it. I appear to not have a TSK variable at all, which might be my problem. If so, how should I go about locating this so it is incorporated in the metgrid step for initialization?

I've also tried some other suggestions, including editing the METGRID.TBL file to fill missing values, etc. to no avail.

Hi mseymour97,

Did you ever find a solution to this problem? I am experiencing a similar thing with real.exe while using ERA-5 data.
