Problems with aer_opt

Postby tcsdcn315 » Wed Sep 21, 2016 1:52 pm

Hi all,
When I run real.exe I set up my name list as follows:
&physics
mp_physics = 28, 28, 28,
use_aero_icbc = .true.,
ra_lw_physics = 4, 4, 4,
ra_sw_physics = 4, 4, 4,
aer_opt = 3,
alevsiz = 29,
no_src_types = 0,
aer_aod550_opt = 1,
aer_aod550_val = 0.12,
aer_angexp_opt = 1,
aer_angexp_val = 1.3,
aer_ssa_opt = 1,
aer_ssa_val = 0.85,
aer_asy_opt = 1,
aer_asy_val = 0.9,
aer_type = 1,
radt = 30, 30, 30,
sf_sfclay_physics = 1, 1, 1,
sf_surface_physics = 2, 2, 2,
bl_pbl_physics = 1, 1, 1,
bldt = 0, 0, 0,
cu_physics = 3, 3, 3,

But when checked my wrfinput file after ran ./real.exe. The QNWFA and QNxxx variables are all 0. I checked my met_em file and the QNWFA, QNIFA were successfully add to the met_em file. I am confused what should I do to solve the problem to show the correct QNWFA and QNIFA in the wrfinput file.

Thanks a lot!!!!

It doesn't matter with aer_opt.You must check your Vtable. If you use QNWFA_Q.....GFS. you should use the data which accords with it.For more detail,you can check http://www2.mmm.ucar.edu/wrf/users/wrfv3.6/mp28.html.
Best luck! ;)
