Layers with the CLM4-WRF coupling

Postby CMondejar » Wed Dec 30, 2015 6:41 pm

The CLM4 has 10 soil layers, but in the documentation of the land surface model (http://www2.mmm.ucar.edu/wrf/users/phys ... _part1.pdf p16) it says that the model has 15 ground levels, 10 soil layers and 5 more specified as bedrock.
Are those bedrock layers computed too? And is it possible to obtain the output of this layers?

Thank you.
Carlos.

I contacted with the person who made it, and he didn't implement that 5 layers because of problems with initialization.
