KF parameterization

Postby francesco.pasi » Thu Jul 24, 2008 9:32 am

Hi all
We are running wrf_nmm_v3.0
1) I am trying to use the KF scheme (cu_physics=1). Model runs but we have a strange noise in the precipitation field. Seems to be some numerical noise in the vertical. I attach you a png. Any hint?
2) We tried also GRELL 3d (cu_physics=5), but model do not work.

Thanks Francesco

Have you tried a different compiler?

what physics options are you using?

I ran into a similar problem with CAM radiation. I had to switch compilers.
I do not have any experience with NMM to know for sure.

Hi,

I think I have a similar noise on some of my output parameters; do you succeed in resolving your problem? What compilers have you tried?
