modifying a physics package

Postby emt » Fri May 15, 2009 4:03 am

I have a question concerning modification of the physics packages.

If I for instance want to reduce the value of the minimum diffusion coefficient for heat in the YSU PBL scheme, do I just first use ./clean -a, then write the new value into module_bl_ysu.F and then configure and compile as usual? Or do I have to make some changes in Registry.EM as well or something else?

Thanks a lot in advance!

Changing a value in the fortran program will require a clean -a, reconfigure, and recompile.
only if you add a new variable to the output will you need to modify the registry, or add a new physics package, etc.
good luck.
