Adding new parameter to WRF namelist

Postby krishna1990 » Tue May 16, 2017 5:41 am

Hi all,

I am trying to add a cumulus scheme control parameter to test it effect on the simulation.

Say TIMEC is the variable in the Kain-Fritsch Eta scheme , now i want to specify this explicitly in the namelist.

Someone help me to add this variable to the namelist.input .

Is there any possibility of using the REGISTRY to accomplish this,

Thanks in advance

Hi,

did you check this http://www2.mmm.ucar.edu/wrf/users/tutorial/201701/registry.pdf, especially slides 20 and the ones after? I would not use a "variable" by itself but include a new namelist option instead. This option you can access in your parameterization (either by the functions or you have to pass it through the subroutine headers).

Kind regards!
