WRF lower boundary conditions

Postby gvilla1000 » Thu Aug 06, 2015 2:25 pm

Hi everyone,

I've been looking through the WRF code to find how the lower boundary conditions are set. So far I've found the vertical wind lower boundary condition through the subroutine set_w_surface inside /dyn_em/module_bc_em.F. However, I am still unable to find what the lower boundary conditions for u and v are. I am running an idealized tropical cyclone case using sfclay surface scheme and YSU PBL scheme. Any help with this will be greatly appreciated.
