WPPV3 with gfortran...

Postby GervyWRF » Thu Nov 06, 2008 4:19 pm

Hi guy,
I'm trying WRFV3 model on my Linux Fedora 9 single machine... WRF running ok. To build WRF/WPS I used GNU (gcc/gfortran) compiler.
I cannot use Intel or PGI compilator. So...

Somebody are able to build WPPV3 (or RIP4) with gfortran? I know this is possible, but I don't know to do it...

Thanks to all...

Hi,

It is possible, indeed, but there are some small changes are necessary before compilation. There is a patch which is may be useful:

All the best,

Hello,
I am also trying to compile WPPV3 with gfortran but the above solution did not work for me. Is there anybody who was succesful?
Is it necessary to compile with the same compiler as WRF? If not I could try g95 too but I would need help with the makefile too.
I am on debian lenny i386
Thanks for any tips in advance.

We are currently trying this out, since we did not managed to compile in shared memory mode with icc/ifort...

System is CentOS5, WRF V3.0.1...

Will post our results soon!
