run_wrfpost

Postby wendell » Sun Aug 02, 2009 9:02 pm

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to run the run_wrfpost. In the users guide suggest to do some modifications on the script, but when I run show this message:

+ mv WRFPRS001.tm00 WRFPRS_d01.001
mv: cannot stat `WRFPRS001.tm00': No such file or directory
+ ls -l WRFPRS_d01.001
ls: cannot access WRFPRS_d01.001: No such file or directory

+ err1=2
+ test 2 -ne 0
+ echo 'WRF POST FAILED, EXITTING'
WRF POST FAILED, EXITTING
+ exit

Somebody know, what is happenning? How can I fix?
Thank you
wendell

Try changing line 66 on run_wrfpost from this:

ln -fs ${DOMAINPATH}/parm/wrf_cntrl.parm .

to this:
ln -fs ${WRF_POSTPROC_HOME}/parm/wrf_cntrl.parm .

Also check out all the paths defined in the file.

Let me know if it worked

I spent a few hours wrestling with similar errors... in my case it seemed that the forecast hour calculation was failing, as some mis-named files like WRFPRS***.tm00 were being created (with clearly incorrect time labels). Strangely, however, the error was not exactly repeatable on successive attempts.

The problem appears to be solved by compiling with -O2 rather than -O3 in FFLAGS. I am using intel compiler 11.1.046 on ubuntu 8.04 64-bit linux, intel quad core 2.83 GHz.
