unit conversion

Postby chamil » Wed Jan 20, 2016 7:51 am

hi,

in sample namelist.input files, e_we, e_sn have values like 70,75,91,82... What are the units of these? If I have lat-lon differences, to which unit should I convert them to, in order to assign to e_we and e_sn?
thank you

"e_we" is the number of grid points in the "x" direction while "e_sn" is the number of grid points in the "y" direction. It may seem to be one higher than you expect. If your grid is 10km in the x direction, and your are doing 1km grid space, e_we is 11, not 10.
