Modifying met_em files

Postby Ehsan_E » Thu Jun 06, 2013 5:47 pm

Hi,

I would like to define a constant-value SST for a specific region. I did so by a code I wrote in MATLAB. It seems to be done well and I can plot the modified data. But, when I run WRF, I receive error. This website does not let me attach a modified met_em file, because of its volume. I used MATLAB commands: ncread and ncwrite to modify the data. Below, you can find the WRF error. I appreciate it if you can help me in this regard.

P.S. : I know that there is another way to change SST from a code in WRF, but I have problem compiling WRF in our cluster and try avoiding any re-compile.
I also know a code read_wrf_nc.f. I did not compile and run it, but even everything goes well, I will have problem with this code. I have many met_em files and it takes a long time to use this code.

Thank you!

Hi Ehsan_E,

How about real.exe?
Was there anything noteworthy/suspicious in the output from real.exe while the modified met_em files were processed?
