I Indranil Nandi from India facing some errors while trying to build the anthropogenic emission input file using the prep_chem_sources and convert_emiss programme.

I am trying to simulate WRF_Chem model (version 3.8.1) over India with a special focus on aerosol species. I am trying to run the model with CAM-MAM chemistry approach (CAM5 microphysics and MAM aerosol schemes). I have prepared the namelist.input file according to my requirement.

I am using "chem_opt = 503 (CBMZ with CAM-MAM3_AQ)", "emiss_inpt_opt = 1 (emissions are speciation for RADM2/SORGAM. Recommended when using the EDGAR/RETRO emissions speciated for RADM2 chemical mechanism)", "emiss_opt = 5 (GOCART RACM_KPP emissions (recommended if using RETRO/EDGAR emissions from prep_chem_sources))".

I have successfully executed all the basic setup work and prep_chem_sources program. But after linking the .bin files to em_real when I am trying to execute the convert_emiss executable file it is executing successfully and also the wrfchemi_d01 file is generating. But the file contains no data value. I have verified it using the "ncdump" command but it is not showing any data value.

I am unable to understand where I am doing the mistake. I have also tried to prepare the anthropogenic emission inputs through anthro_emiss utility program but in that case, as I am using the CAM-MAM chemistry approach and CBMZ chemical mechanism so the model is unable to account the prepared anthropogenic emissions.

It might be some error regarding the mismatch between the namelist settings and convert_emiss utility dependent options. I have checked that all the &physics and &chem options are compatible with each other but the anthropogenic emission input is not building through the convert_emiss program.

It will be very helpful for me if you could kindly suggest me the process of building the anthropogenic emission input file using RETRO/EDGAR emission inventory through the convert_emiss program while working with CAM-MAM chemistry approach.
