How could I compile CALWRF?

Postby PHDWRF » Thu Jan 21, 2016 12:43 pm

Hello everybody,

as my username says, I am a Phd Student and I am new to the WRF world.

I compiled WRF V 3.7, with some trouble that I resolved here in the forum, so thanks to all of you! :D

Now, I would use the WRF output data to CALMET. I download CALWRF V 2.0.1 from the download page: http://www.src.com/calpuff/download/mod7_codes.htm, but I really need help to run this software.

I found something about CALWRF V 1.4, but the problem is that I didn't find the V 1.4 on internet and the folder of the V 2.0.1 is set in different way, so I don't know how to handle the files.

So I am here to ask you a little help to run CALWRF o maybe some other software that could be used to the same aim.

I have WRF v 3.7 on UBUNTU 14.04 with gfortran compiler.

Thanks

Hello,

It is quite difficult to find resource in compiling CALWRF but I found that the following link gives some clues on how to compile it:

http://dispersionmodel.blogspot.co.uk/2 ... 04-64.html

Is this the one that you have seen before? You can skip over the part about the makefile and just make the changes on the compile.sh and run it. You can also try to use the pre-compiled binary in linux that comes with the zip file.

I hope this helps.
