adding a constant to a RIP field

Postby joegrim » Thu Nov 13, 2014 7:13 pm

Hi,

Does anyone know how to add a constant to a RIP field? I'm looking to convert "Celsius ground temperature" (tgc) to Fahrenheit, since there isn't a "tgf" option.

Using "addf", I can multiply tgc by 9/5 like this:
feld=tgc; ptyp=hc; addf=0.8
feld=tgc; ptyp=hc; cmth=cont; cint=2

but I don't know how to add 32. Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance!

feld=unity; ptyp=hc; addf=32.
feld=tgc; ptyp=hc; addf=0.8
feld=tgc; ptyp=hc; cmth=cont; cint=2

The only problem with this method is the units label is not changed since it is associated with the feld (so the units will appear as "C" even after alteration by addf).
