Doubt about rainc and rainnc

Hello users,

I need some explanations about "rainc" and "rainnc" outputs. RAINC = accumulated total cumulus precipitation (convection) and RAINNC = accumulated total grid scale precipitation (microphysics). My doubts is: If I have hourly outputs (24 times, for exemple), means that on the time=24, the rainc (for exemple) is the sum of the precipitation occured in 24hours (precipitation(t=24)=(t=1)+(t=2)+...+(t=23)) ? In this case, how can I calculate the precipitation in each time?

Hi,
The rainc and rainnc at any time say 06 is the simulated precipitation valid for 06 hours.
for obtaining the 24 hours rainfall,you have to add all 24 hours output.
Or you can also plot individual hours output, if u are writing it hourly.
