tried touching file & sleeps w/o success

native perl copy command appeared more problematic

switched to unix rsync command which solved the problem most of the time

solved the remainder of the problems by creating a script to compare bytecounts of source & destination files & re-rsync'ing if different

are you by chance using a global or parallel file system ?

I have this error under linux system.
Meybe you should check your namelist.ARWpost.

Change mercator_defs = .true. (&io) to mercator_defs = .false.
I use ARWpost2.2
