Unrealistic metgrid results using different LANDSEA data

Postby taolu » Thu Nov 10, 2016 6:55 am

Hello

I got unrealistic soil temperature, soil moisture, when I adapted a new (finer) LANDSEA data.
The soil temperature in land is 0 k, the soil temperature in sea is missing fill as 285.k.

The origin LANDSEA data from NCEP FNL 1 degree is very coarse, the new LANDSEA matches well with coast line.

I am doing some investigation about the unrealistic soil temperature,
and found it is possible that LANDSEA somehow affects the interpolatable points when applying the
same interpolation option of soil temperature or soil moisture?

I am not sure about that and don't know how to fix that.

I am very appreciated if you could give me some advice.

Thank you.
