ECMWF ERA-interim regridding issue?

Postby DougLowe » Tue Jan 08, 2013 12:40 pm

I'm trying to create met files for a 15km resolution grid centred over the UK (using a lambert projection) using ECMWF ERA-interim data and WPS 3.2. The met files are created successfully, but I seem to have a discontinuity through the domain which follows the 0 degree longitude line (see included image). This didn't occur when I used the ECMWF operational data, which was on a 0.5 degree cylindrical equidistant projection grid; but does occur with the ERA-interim data (which is on a 0.7 degree quasi-regular guassian lat/lon grid).

Has anyone else encountered this problem, and if so how did you fix it?

I've solved this by upgrading to the latest version of WPS.
