Configuration of WPS

Postby mbutwin » Thu Oct 10, 2013 9:12 pm

I am working with WRFV3, and am currently trying to configure/compile the WPS file. The platform I choose when configuring the WRF was: x86_64 Linux, gfortran compiler with gcc (dmpar), the platform I have been choosing to configure WPS has been: Linux x86_64, gfortran (dmpar)
I have changed the paths and options in the configure.log so that they are what they need to be and match in both the WRF and WPS files. After attempting to compile using the following command: ./compile >& compile.log , the executables that should have been created (geogrid.exe -> geogrid/src/geogrid.exe, metgrid.exe -> metgrid/src/metgrid.exe, ungrib.exe -> ungrib/src/ungrid.exe have not been created. When I examine the compile.log I have these two errors: gfortran: error: unrecognized command line option '-f90=gfortran' and collect2: error: ld returned 1 exit status.
What could the issue be? Is it non matching platforms, or something else?
Thanks :D

What system are you running on? If you are on Ubuntu Linux, make sure your gfortran installation is up to date by typing:

sudo apt-get install gfortran

If it shows it updating, then type:

./clean -a

...and reconfigure/compile.
