Problems with Geog Data in São Paulo, BRA

Dear all,

Recently I made a simulation with a domain centered at the Guarulhos Airport, SP, BRA. I noticed an error in the positioning of this airport, which was located at the slope of Cantareira's Sierra. Obviously, all simulations were compromised by this wrong topographic feature.
I'm using the new geog dataset with geog_data_res = 'modis_15s+30s' for that domain, and the version of the model is WRFV3.6.
Here are links to:
An image with the model terrain height:

And the actual image from Google Earth indicating the location of the airport, necessarily away from the slope:

Hope I can get some help on that. Thanks in advance!

Hi Felipe,

would you be so kind to share how you managed to plot the geog data? I'm in a similar situation but I can't find a way to plot the geog data on a map, I tried using QGIS.

Thanks!
